The airport in Bloomington, IL (BMI) is Teh Bomb!

Free wireless rocks. That is all.

see, you could fly from Bloomington to a similarly obscure city, Albuquerque, which also has free wi-fi, and never be without.

Or do so via Rochester and ditto (but wait, you can't get anywhere from Rochester). But rumor has it there is one guy who hangs in the lobby of the airport with his laptop to use the net -- cheaper than buying your own.

Let's hope their free wireless isn't monitored for keywords like "hijack" or "bomb" :)

But then again, I'm sure their terrorism experts realize true terrorists don't appreciate the subtle irony of the phrase "teh bomb".

Woot, wireless FTW!!!11!cos(0)!!111!

I would suggest that coffee shops are preferable to airports for free wireless, but then again BMI has an honor system coffee setup (50 center per cup and the threat that you're being taped). Points deducted for lack of milk, only powdered vcreamer available. As to security, they are much too busy inspecting containers to make sure they contain less than 3 ounces of liquid, even though blowing up a plane would require vastly more and the construction of a midsize chemistry lab in a lavatory. Why they don't just ban test tubes and bunsen burners instead is beyond me.
